Diafani is a small fishing village built below the traditional hilltop village of Olymbos. It is situated on the northeast side of the island, approximately 70 km north of Pigadia and it has the second port of the island. The settlement still retains its traditions however at the same time it has small development of tourism, with several fish taverns and cafes, while there are and a few options for accommodation. It can be accessed either by a regular connection with the ferry from the capital of the island or by car via a pretty scenic route that offers breathtaking views.
