Arkasa Village
Arkasa is situated on the coast in the south west of the island with a population of approximately 600 people.Characterized by important historical monuments the name of the village comes from the ancient city of Arkesia. Remains of the Byzantine temple of Agia Anastasia, dating from the 5th century.
The village is a developing area in the tourism sector that offers many services and amenities to its visitors. A wide variety of hotels, apartments, restaurants and bars. Additionally the village has many beaches for swimming with Saint Nicholas and Saint Theodoros being the most popular. Finally just a couple of kilometers outside Arkasa towards the village of Pyles is the fishing settlement Finiki with the graphic fish port with many restaurants near the water.
